It's only been a few weeks since Obama left office. In that time he has refrained from commenting on actions taken under Trump's administration. Now former President Barack Obama is openly in agreement with American citizen's that are protesting the 90-day Muslim ban.
In his first public statement since leaving the White House, Obama's spokesperson Kevin Lewis said the former POTUS was "heartened by the level of engagement taking place in the communities around the country.
"Citizens exercising their Constitutional right to assemble, organize and have their voices heard by the elected officials is exactly what we expect to see when American values are at stake," Lewis said.
