Beyonce Meets Nala From Broadway's 'Lion King' Ahead Of Disney Remake

We all know that Beyoncé voices Nala in the upcoming Disney remake of The Lion King, but the pop megastar recently came face-to-face with the Broadway actress who plays the character during a recent visit to Los Angeles' WAVO Theater Center.

As per a newly-surfaced photo, which was shot on June 1, the chart-topper posed with Syndee Winters during the venue's Lion King-themed Wearable Art Gala and she rocked an appropriate gold-sequenced catsuit with Nala's face on the front. During the event, Winters and her castmates performed the musical number, "Shadowlands," to a star-studded audience, including JAY Z, the couple’s daughter Blue Ivy Carter, Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, Tiffany Haddish, Tyler Perry, Anthony Anderson, and Magic Johnson.

During her time at the gala, the 37-year-old star also sat down for an interview with Oprah Winfrey's OWN Network to talk about being at the event. "This is one of the only red carpets I get to do with my family," Bey admitted. "My daughter gets to dress up and my husband...this year it's Lion King which, obviously I play Nala. So it’s the first time I’m doing any appearance as a person that stars in The Lion King, which is something that I grew up watching and I’m so excited for my kids to see but it means, even more, to share this experience and culture of The Lion King with my mother and my family."

The Lion King is set for release on July 19 and the Jon Favreau’s version of the film features the likes of Donald Glover, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Billy Eichner, Seth Rogen, and James Earl Jones.
