Bad Bunny has received his first Emmy nomination for his historic 2026 Super Bowl halftime performance in the Outstanding Variety Special (Live) category.
The musician is credited twice under the nomination, once for his role as a supervising producer and as a performer. The performance earned a total of nine nominations, including Outstanding Choreography and Outstanding Directing.
Bad Bunny's nomination comes after his halftime performance sparked controversy among conservatives, with President Donald Trump and others criticizing the decision to have him as the headliner.
The 2026 Emmy Awards are scheduled for September 14, where Bad Bunny could potentially add an Emmy to his list of accolades.
