The reigning Miss United States is accusing her former boyfriend, Florida Congressman Cory Mills, of threatening to release nude images of her.
25-year-old Lindsey Langston reported Mills' alleged threats to the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office last month.
Langston won Miss United States 2024 and serves as a Republican State Committeewoman.
She says the 4-year romantic relationship with Mills began in November of 2021 and claims the Volusia County Republican also threatened to hurt anyone she dated.
The sheriff's office says Langston provided screenshots of text messages and Instagram messages to and from Mills and turned it all over to the FDLE.
Langston reportedly told deputies that she had hired an attorney, who encouraged her to file a complaint.
Mills accuses that lawyer of retribution, calling the complaint "politically motivated."
The Congressman says Langston's lawyer, Anthony Sabatini, is weaponizing the legal system to launch a political attack against Mills because he beat him in a prior election.
Mills released a statement to POLITICO.
"We have not been made aware of any report or allegations from law enforcement or the alleged complainant," Mills said in response to the allegations, according to Politico. "These claims are false and misrepresent the nature of my interactions. I have always conducted myself with integrity, both personally and in service to Florida’s 7th District."
A former Florida state representative who has been in contact with Congresswoman Langston told The Hill there is a restraining order against Mills that is pending.
