Hurricane Larry to Impact Florida's East Coast Beaches

(Undated) -- Cat 2 Hurricane Larry isn't expected to reach the East Coast but swells from the storm could start pounding beaches from Florida to Maine beginning today.

Larry's sustained winds of 110 miles an hour could increase wave action all along the Atlantic Coast, prompting coastal flooding at high tide. A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for Bermuda.

Meanwhile, a depression in the Eastern North Pacific has strengthened into Tropical Storm Olaf. Olaf is forecast to strengthen to near hurricane intensity while it passes to the southwest of southern portions of Baja California Sur Thursday and Friday, and tropical storm conditions are possible in these areas.
