Angela Davis Will Be Inducted Into National Women's Hall Of Fame

Angela Davis is one of the newest names to be added to the National Women's Hall of Fame...and it's about time!

The notorious former Black Panther-turned college professor has lived an exciting and notable life. From experiencing firsthand hardships as a civil rights leader to living to witness the first African-American president, Angela's story is one for the books. The retired distinguished UC Santa Cruz Feminist Studies professor has well-earned recognition as a history maker.

It seems like National Women's Hall of Fame agrees. Angela and nine other nominees went through a tedious process of evaluation by judges. The 10-time author eventually got through and will be presented with her placement along with U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor, actress and activist Jane Fonda, and activist and artist Rose O’Neill.

Hall of Fame President Betty Bayer stated:

"We are pleased to add these American women to the ranks of inductees whose leadership and achievements have changed the course of American history.”

This comes months after getting a human rights award from the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute revoked due to her public stance on Israel.

Well, you know what they say. "What one won't do, another one will."

Congratulations, Angela!
