CNN and Donald Trump are teaming up for a town-hall event to be broadcast next Wednesday, May 10th. Kaitlan Collins, the former Washington correspondent turned morning anchor who was often called out by Trump during rallies and press junkets, will moderate the live Town Hall with Trump from St. Anselm College in New Hampshire. Trump will take questions from an audience of New Hampshire Republicans and undeclared voters. This Town Hall was announced as CNN, now under the ownership of Warner Brothers Discovery, seeks to broaden its appeal to viewers who may be liberal or conservative. In a statement issued by CNN, the network boasted that it “has a longstanding tradition of hosting leading presidential candidates for Town Halls and political events as a critical component of the network’s robust campaign coverage and this town hall will be the first of many for CNN in the coming months.”
Actor Jonathan Majors’ alleged victim was granted a temporary order of protection last week, just ahead of the May 9th court date in which Majors will face charges of assaulting and harassing the unidentified woman. The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office said in a statement that the full temporary order of protection means that the two parties must not have any direct or third-party contact, which remains in effect until the next court date. In an April 19 report, Variety revealed that multiple alleged victims of Majors had come forward following his arrest and are cooperating with the District Attorney’s office. Following the allegations, Majors was dropped by his management and his publicist.
Superstar singer, mogul, and billionairess, Rihanna, has been cast as the voice of “Smurfette” in the upcoming live-action film, “The Smurfs Movie.” Rihanna attended CinemaCon in Las Vegas and announced that she also wrote and recorded original songs for the movie and she’s a producer on the film. Annnd she’s currently in her third trimester of pregnancy with her second child.
