VIDEO: Deadly Explosion In Dominican Republic

An explosion has rocked a busy market near the capital of the Dominican Republic. At least three people were killed, late Monday afternoon, leaving more than thirty others injured. In addition, we're learning there are at least fifty people still unaccounted for amid the rubble and ruin in the San Cristobal province.

It's still not clear what caused the blast, which officials said sparked a fire that spread from the bakery to a hardware store next door and a nearby furniture store.

In remarks from the National Palace on Monday, President Luis Abinader expressed his concern for the situation and said he is closely following events, state broadcaster RTVD’s Central 4 Noticias reported.
