A bill is advancing in the Florida Legislature that would make it easier for their to be a Trump Presidential Library one day.

SB 118 cleared the Senate Community Affairs Committee yesterday by a unanimous vote.

It would override county or municipal ordinances that could be passed to hinder the construction or operation of a presidential library.

Donald Trump's name is not in the text of the bill but its sponsor, Central Florida Republican Jason Brodeur, says he's aware of interest in building a Trump library in the state, possibly in Trump's home county of Palm Beach.

If the president decides to have a presidential library in our state, it would be the first for Florida.
