Diddy's former assistant revealed why she refused to tell anyone, including his ex-girlfriend Cassie, that the mogul allegedly sexually assaulted her multiple times.
The woman, only known as "Mia," took the witness stand on Monday, June 2, to face cross-examination from Sean "Diddy" Combs' attorneys. She faced intense questioning from attorney Brian Steel, who asked her why she never told Combs' then-girlfriend Cassandra "Cassie" Ventura that her boss had raped her. Mia told the jury that she was "terrified" of what Combs would do to her if he found out.
"I’m not sure what he’s capable of," she said per TMZ. "I was terrified.”
Mia said she loved Cassie like a sister, but Combs didn't allow her to repeat details about his location or anything he personally said to her. She also claimed he monitored both her and Cassie's conversations. She claimed he would steal their phones regularly and would even put a tracking device on the singer's car. Mia said she was forced to be in constant communication with Combs and was "never outside his grip."
The woman told Steel she never told anyone, outside of a therapist, that Combs sexually assaulted her until 2024, which is when she spoke to the government about her case for the first time. She couldn't remember exactly when she told them, but it was definitely after she hired a lawyer. Mia even admitted that she never called the police or sought medical treatment because she "would not have been allowed."
Mia wasn't the first anonymous witness to accuse Combs of sexual assault while on the witness stand. Cassie also testified about the abuse she allegedly suffered from Combs, while other witnesses like her mother Regina, rapper Kid Cudi, and his other former assistant Capricorn Clark corroborated Cassie's claims. The mogul is currently facing five counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, racketeering and sex trafficking. If convicted, he could face life in prison.
