Cops swarming a warehouse district off the Palmetto Expressway near Bird Road, this after reports of an active shooter near a used car dealership. Workers at nearby buildings report hearing multiple gunshots.
Miami-Dade Sheriff Rosie Cordero-Stutz says 3 people were shot and injured and taken to the hospital where officials say they are in critical condition.
The sheriff says there is no imminent threat to the community at this time.
The very active scene off the Palmetto and Bird Road in the 73-hundred block of Southwest 45th Street. The investigation is ongoing, and the sheriff is urging people to stay away from the area.
