Lightning Defeat Ducks For Third Straight Win

The Tampa Bay Lightning (22-17-5) defeated the Anaheim Ducks (14-27-1) 5-1 on Saturday night at Amalie Arena. It was the third straight win for Tampa Bay.

Steven Stamkos had two goals and an assists to lead the way - Nikita Kucherov also had three assists for the Lightning. After a scoreless first period, the Lightning scored the first two goals in the second to build a 2-0 lead. After Anaheim got on the board, Steven Stamkos scored his second goal at the 14:47 mark of the second to make it 3-1.

Tampa Bay added two more goals in the third to pull away in this game. Andrei Vasilevskiy went 19-for-20 in net to pick up the win.

The Lightning are next in action when they host the Minnesota Wild on Thursday night. Puck drop between the Lightning and Wild is scheduled for 7:00 PM at Amalie Arena on Thursday.
