The Tampa Bay Lightning (17-10-2) defeated the Columbus Blue Jackets (12-15-5) 5-3 on Tuesday night at Amalie Arena. With the win, the Lightning have now won three in a row.
Jake Guentzel extended his goal streak to seven games and added an assist. Nick Paul added a goal and two assists in the winning effort.
Tampa Bay led 4-0 going into the third period, before the Blue Jackets scored three times to pull within 4-3. It would be Brayden Point coming through with an empty-netter late to make it a 5-3 final score.
The Lightning are next in action when they host the St. Louis Blues on Thursday night. Puck drop between the Lightning and Blues is scheduled for 7:00 PM on Thursday night at Amalie Arena.
