Entertainment News: Quincy Jones’ Heirs, Biden & Trump Meet, Monkey Escapes

The internet is buzzing with rumors about a major inheritance left by the late Quincy Jones. Known for his legendary contributions to music, Quincy’s wealth came from a combination of record sales, royalties, multimedia companies, and high-value real estate. Now, his seven children—including actress Rashida Jones—are reportedly each set to receive as much as $50 million. Quincy passed away on November 3rd at the age of 91, leaving behind not only a musical legacy but also a fortune that’s capturing public attention.

President Joe Biden recently welcomed President-elect Donald Trump back to the White House. The cordial meeting included a handshake, with Biden congratulating Trump and saying he looked forward to a “smooth transition.” Trump responded with gratitude, acknowledging, “Politics is tough and in many cases it’s not a nice world, but it is a nice world today.” Given their past tensions and the chaotic 2021 transition period, this display of mutual respect is striking. Here’s a thought: have you ever had to play nice with someone you didn’t quite see eye to eye with?

Meanwhile, Michael Strahan has addressed criticism he received after he didn’t place his hand over his heart during Fox’s Veterans Day tribute. Fans jumped to conclusions, accusing him of making a political statement. In a video on Instagram, Strahan set the record straight, saying, “Everyone thought, ‘He’s protesting. He’s making a statement,’ which is so far from the truth.” With his own father being a veteran, Strahan clarified that he has “nothing to protest” and a strong appreciation for the military. It’s refreshing to see public figures clear up misunderstandings when the internet runs wild with assumptions!

And finally, it’s been a wild week for some escaped monkeys in South Carolina! After a facility employee failed to lock an enclosure properly, 32 monkeys made their way out into the wild. Two were recently recaptured, found munching on peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, though around 11 are still unaccounted for. Officials are urging locals to keep their distance and call 911 if they see any of these mischievous primates roaming around.
